If you have never ridden the horse trails in the Big South Fork, you are missing out. All the trails are clearly marked and easy to follow; just look for the red blaze or signage. The trails are very well maintained and vary in both length and degree of difficulty. Some are short, easy day rides; others are strenuous loops that may take several days to complete when ridden in their entirety. Access to the Big South Fork Trails is just one trail mile away. Ride along a private, well maintained trail, just one mile long, and access the Cumberland Valley Trail Head. The most centrally located Trail Head in Big South Fork. Or, you can head out back to Salt Pine and Yellow Face if you are looking for more challenging trails. The trails near True West campground invite you and your horse to kick up your heels and enjoy a good canter, fast gait, or leisurely pace.
Saddle up your horse and ride into the Big South fork right from our barn!!! All horses must be kept in a stall. The horse barns accommodate your horse safely. Our barn has an 18 foot hallway for ease in tacking up your horse for that great trail ride. There are 67 stalls (10×10), and outside wash areas. There are several stud stalls available.
Guests should provide their own feed, hay, and water buckets. Each stall has two bucket hooks. A bridle holder and saddle rack are mounted on the front of each stall.
Tack can be kept in the barn by your stall or at your site. We do not have tie-outs, nor do we have areas for portable electric pens.
