Here’s what you need to know:
1. Getting here – mostly wide rural highways, narrow road at entrance, do not travel from national park, ferry does not allow trailers.
2. Parking & Trailers – ample parking on gravel pull through and back in slots big enough for large trailers sun/shade.
3. Family Friendly – yes

Mammoth Cave Horse Camp is nestled on the fringe of Mammoth Cave National Park in south central Kentucky. While staying here you will experience approximately 60 miles of back country trails offering incredible views of big timber, caves, rivers, waterfalls, creeks, four seasons of color and an abundance of wildlife.

Camping Facilities
Our campgrounds are designed to provide our visitors with the most pleasurable and enjoyable experience while staying at our camp. Our camp features a clean, well maintained grounds with electric and water access at every campground as well as comfortable picnic tables and fire rings/grills. We have modern, clean and comfortable showers, restrooms, and large covered 10×12 stalls for the horses.

Our newly constructed facility was built in 2009 and is big rig friendly, features an onsite camp store with ice, hay, t-shirts and other small necessities that you might need to make your stay more pleasurable. Our outdoor 90’x200’ arena features an obstacle course and round pen for the guest use at their leisure. Our Rules and Policies
Here at Mammoth Cave Horse Camp we don’t have a lot of rules – our objective is for everyone to have a pleasant experience while staying with us. With that in mind here are a few guidelines that we ask everyone to follow:

Quiet time is from 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Please keep your pets on a leash and under your control at all times
Please keep your horse at a walk while in the campground
Please do not disrespect other guests and their families with rude, obnoxious or unruly behavior. Example: excessive drunkenness or excessive noise
In order that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy their time with us we reserve the right to ask you to leave with no refund should you insist on disrespecting our facility and/or our guests.

Reservation / Cancellation Policy
A deposit equal to 25% of the reservation total is due to make a reservation.

Reservations cancelled 14+ days prior to arrival we will refund any deposit paid less a $20 admin fee.

For reservations cancelled 7-14 days prior to arrival deposits are eligible to be rolled to a future reservation (less a $20 admin fee) when the future reservation is booked at the time of cancellation. Deposits may only be rolled 1 time; future reservation must be within 1 year.

For reservations cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival date deposits will be forfeited.

Cancellations less than 14 days prior to arrival for Holiday and event weekends/weeks are not eligible for “rolling” or refund of deposit.

Holiday weekends require 2 or 3 nights minimum stay depending on the event

No Transfer of Deposit will be given for a no show-no call.

Please be advised that we do not cancel events or close the campground due to weather conditions, i.e. rain, cold or hot weather, etc.
